Zayn sounds cooler than ever.

Who you gon’ call when you need somebody?

When Zayn Malik announced he was going solo, it was met with a bunch of controversy from One Directioners. He dropped his album Mind Of Mine last year, which topped the charts and produced some seriously hard pop-inspired R&B cuts.

His latest tune, “wHo,” has a bit of the MoM edge, but sounds like a logical update to the Zayn machine. Now that Malik is in love with girlfriend Gigi Hadid, it’s only appropriate the “Like I Would” singer’s sound gets a little breezier. His new airy mid-tempo song, which is featured on the Ghostbusters: Original Movie Picture Soundtrack, is just that. Unlike Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliott’s contribution “I’m Not Afraid,” Zayn’s song utilizes Ray Parker Jr.’s original 1984 song’s famous line “who you gonna call” in the chillest of ways.
