It’s an underground neon dance party in Smith’s new music video.
Will Smith is back, bitch.
Seemingly out of nowhere, Will Smith dropped a verse for Bomba Estereo’s Grammy-nominated song “Fiesta.” Estereo himself is puzzled how it came about. Smith heard the song during a visit to Colombia and was so moved by the jam he requested to be featured.
“When I was told that Will Smith wanted to collaborate on a remix with Bomba, I couldn’t believe it,” band founder Simon Mejia said in a statement. “This opportunity to work with Will was beyond anything we have dreamed of … It’s just magic.”
Since then, Smith dropped into Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show and said he has about 30 songs recorded at the moment, “six or seven that I really, really like, that I’m trying to get the ideas to come out right.”
He added “I have so many things that I want to say and I’m struggling with saying them in a way that fit the flavor of music that I tend to like.”
This remix and cinematic music video showing off an underground dance party is certainly a solid start:
Smith also revealed he wants to embark on a tour with DJ Jazzy Jeff. “I’m pretty certain I’m going on tour,” he later revealed. “Jeff and I actually never have done a full tour. I was always on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, I was always either making a movie, so we’ve never actually done a full tour. So I’m looking this summer to be the first time that we go out on a full world tour.”
