Will Britney Spears take the stage at the American Music Awards, *****?

There’s major speculation the princess of pop will make an unannounced appearance onstage at the AMAs this Sunday, which take place at the Microsoft Theatre in L.A. and airs at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.

A music forum commentator who has accurately predicted several moves from the “Slumber Party” singer in recent weeks believes she will in fact perform, however GossipCop is refuting these claims. They deny she’ll attend, and we’re leaning towards the latter. If Britney was slated to appear, you best believe the AMAs would have hyped the hell out of that.

You never know.

Britney finished up her last Piece Of Me show in Las Vegas on Saturday, which means tonight her schedule is wide open.

If she does perform, she’ll join previously announced acts James Bay, Fifth Harmony, Lady Gaga, Green Day, Niall Horan, John Legend, Bruno Mars, Shawn Mendes, Justin Bieber, Twenty One Pilots, The Weeknd, special duets from The Chainsmokers and Halsey, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, Maroon 5 with Kendrick Lamar, and “The American Music Award of Merit” honoree and performer Sting.

Stay tuned…
