Wild Fire Threatens Britney's Thousand Oaks Home

Britney’s Thousand Oaks home may be in danger after a major wild fire continues to scorch through more than 10,000 acres along the California coast northwest of Los Angeles.

About 4,000 homes were considered threatened, and 1,000 of them told to evacuate, said the Ventura County Fire and Sheriff’s department.

“We’re seeing fires burning like we usually see in late summer, at the height of the fire season, and it’s only May,” Ventura County Fire Department spokesman Tom Kruschke told Reuters.

“We are asking members of the public to be very aware: This is very dangerous,” said Ventura County Fire Department spokesman Tom Kruschke. “This is still a moving fire. If you were asked to evacuate, it will be a while before you are allowed in. And if at one point you are uncomfortable, please leave the area. It’s not safe to stay.”

Britney’s area has not yet been asked to evacuate.
