Iggy Azalea and Anitta’s music video for “Switch” gets a low-key digital release.
Saying Iggy had trouble releasing her new album, Digital Distortion, is an understatement. The Australian rapper received little to no support from her previous label Def Jam. Despite recording some serious bangers, like “Team,” “Mo Bounce” and “Switch,” featuring Anitta, Iggy’s project was ultimately left on the cutting room floor. She filmed a music video for “Switch” with the Brazilian pop star, but it somehow leaked in the post-production stages and was ultimately never released… until now.
The polished final version of the video is a spectacle. In it, Iggy and Anitta chill out besides alligator ice sculptures & live cheetahs and slither around in red, yellow and green barely there ensembles. There’s one outfit in particular that Iggy rocks that leaves little to the imagination, and I am here for it.
It’s a shame the video isn’t getting an official release, because it’s wild and entertaining. Fortunately, the production company responsible for editing the clip, Rainy Sky Films, has decided to share it anyway. You can watch it there.
