Hudgens says her performance Sunday night will be in his honor.

Vanessa Hudgens will honor her father with a performance in tonight’s televised production of Grease: Live!.

Hudgens has been preparing for her role as Rizzo in the live adapatation of Grease the movie for nearly a year, but one special someone who won’t get the chance to see it is her father Greg. She announced her late father passed away of stage 4 cancer on Saturday and will dedicate the performance to him.

She said, “I am so sad to say that last night my daddy, Greg passed away from stage 4 cancer. Thank you to everyone who kept him in your prayers. Tonight, I do the show in his honor.”

Last year, Hudgens opened about her father’s battle at the 2015 Industry Dance Awards & Cancer Benefit Show.

“Last year, my boyfriend, Austin (Butler), lost his mom, Lori, to cancer, and my dad has just been recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. And, let me tell you, I hate cancer. I hate cancer with every cell of my being,” she said, dedicating an award she received to Austin’s mother, her father and to families struggling with cancer.

My daddy and I ❤️❤️❤️ Please pray for his healing!!! The more prayers the better. ????
