Swift made a huge statement when she posted a lengthy message blasting the Republican Party, namely Tennessee’s Republican senator Marsha Blackburn, and throwing her support behind the Democratic candidate for Senate, Phil Bredesen, and the Democratic candidate for House of Representatives, Jim Cooper.
“In the past I’ve been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now,” Swift wrote.Read the full letter here.
Reporters informed President Trump about it, and he was quick to slam his former fav and rallied behind Blackburn.
“Let’s say that I like Taylor’s music about 25 percent less now,” Trump said, adding Taylor probably doesn’t know anything about her.
That means he still likes Taylor’s music 75% of the time. Talent won!
