Tinashe Low-Key Confirmed Her Album ‘Joyride’ Drops Next Month

Tinashe is under the impression her new album Joyride debuts in April.

Tinashe is under the impression her new album Joyride debuts in April.

I have a sneaking suspicion there’s some behind-the-scenes drama with Tinashe right now. The singer released two of the album’s tracks recently, “Faded Love” featuring Future and the Offset-assisted “No Drama.” After literally years of trying to release the record, it appeared T finally got things back on track, yet here we are with a confirmed timeline of when the album drops and no official announcement. What gives?

A fan on Instagram asked Tinashe when her delayed project would finally drop. “Next month,” she responded with five tongue-wagging emojis.

It’s VERY curious that she went ahead and dropped the news like that knowing all too well it would make the rounds on the blogosphere. Perhaps T is putting the pressure on RCA to make this come to fruition, and that’s really unsettling if true. I’ll admit: I love me a good conspiracy theory, but revealing such intimate and important news in an Instagram comment makes me wonder if there’s a setback planned, and she’s just not having it.

“It’s going to come out when it comes out,” Tinashe told Rap-Up earlier this year. “I’m just excited to continue to release new material. I have a lot of new music and I’m really excited about that. It’s all good things.”

Either we’re getting an official announcement in the very near future, or expect yet another delay (I’ll riot).
