This Super Bowl Halftime Soundbite Of JLo Is Fake

December 1, 2015 By Jordan Miller

Speculation don’t cost a thing.

“It doesn’t matter how you start… it’s how you finish.”

That’s one of the lines Jennifer Lopez recites in what was thought to be a newly-surfaced soundbite promoting her halftime show performance. However, after a bit of investigating, the clip originates from a separate promo she did for the NFL nearly a year ago.after

On Monday (Nov. 30), fans speculated either Britney Spears or JLo would take the stage at the 2016 Super Bowl halftime show after analyzing an unlisted ad campaign.

She says in the edited soundbite, “When it comes to the NFL. It doesn’t matter how you start… it’s how you finish. This needs to be the performance of a lifetime. This is the moment. So hold nothing back and leave it all out on the field.”

Despite JLo performing a string of shows leading up to the Super Bowl which airs on Sunday, Feb. 7, not all hope is lost. It is rumored the halftime show will include a bunch of artists to perform that day, so her participation could physically work.

Others thought to appear are Britney, Bruno Mars, Maroon 5 and Coldplay.
