The Voice Finale: Justin Bieber, The Weeknd and Missy Elliott PerformDecember 16, 2015
Alongside Coldplay, Tori Kelly and Sam Hunt.
Think the UK X Factor had the most star studded finale of the year? Think again.
Last night’s finale of NBC’s The Voice saw contestant Jordan Smith being crowned winner, but it’s the guest appearances that everyone’s talking about this morning.
Justin Bieber gave a half acoustic/half dance rendition of his current single, “Sorry”. Bieber’s “Sorry” gets better with every listen and considering how hard he’s been hitting the promo trail, it’s sure to keep getting bigger and bigger.
Missy Elliott also took to the stage to perform her comeback track “WTF” with The Voice judge Pharrell. The performance was a huge spectacle, although many were left baffled by her choice to lip-sync rather than rap live.
The Weeknd also gave a typically strong vocal showing with a mashup of the singles from his current LP, “Beauty Behind the Madness”. The R&B star knows how to set an atmosphere and the guitar heavy medley goes to show what an outstanding year The Weeknd’s had.
Also taking to the stage were Coldplay, Tori Kelly and country star Sam Hunt.
