The 1975 Cover Justin Bieber’s “Sorry”

February 11, 2016 By Jordan Miller

Listen to The 1975’s jazzed up take on Bieber’s No. 1 Purpose track.

Is it too late now to cover “Sorry?”

Not for The 1975, who performed their version of Bieber’s No. 1 charting song during their appearance on Radio 1’s Live Lounge this morning (February 11). The group is currently promoting their latest release, “The Sound” off their forthcoming record I Like It When You Sleep For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It out Feb. 26.

Frontman Matt Healy is aware of the ambitious nature the album presents, but couldn’t imagine creating it any other way. “I’m challenging people to sit through an hour and 15 minutes and 17 songs that all sound completely different from each other,” he told NME. “It’s quite an emotional investment. It’s art. It’s what I want to do. The world needs this album.”

Check out their performance of “The Sound” below.

The band will perform a string of shows in the U.K. next month.

London, O2 Academy Brixton (March 4, 7-9)
Manchester, O2 Apollo (March 12-15)
Glasgow, O2 Academy (March 17-19)
Birmingham, Barclaycard Arena (March 22)
