Nicki Minaj’s “The Pinkprint” failed to get the number one spot on the Billboard 200 opening week. By a lot.
After a huge promotional campaign showing off TnA, Nicki Minaj’s latest album, “The Pinkprint,” didn’t launch to the top as hoped.
Many fans blame Target’s rachet, out-of-the-know employees who didn’t stock the shelves the day it debuted (a Monday), possibly forcing numbers to plummet as a result.
Ok. Update. Some employees at Target were not notified of the album being a Monday release. They're used to putting them out on Tuesday

The mix-up may have caused Nicki the number one spot, but after a chart update, Nicki comes in at number two with 251,000 units sold (earlier it was reported she landed at 201,000 – coming in at number three behind Pentatonix).
Taylor Swift remains untouchable at number one, selling 376,000 units.
Early predictions placed the “Only” rapper at 180,000 units sold, so golf claps to getting an extra 70k (thanks to Britney’s Tweet).
