You can say no all you want, but nothing Taylor does is by accident, so when she emphasized these words from “Shake It Off,” “just think while you’ve been getting down and out about the LIARS and the DIRTY, DIRTY CHEATS in the world…” it wasn’t for nothing.
In case you’ve been living under a very large rock, Braun purchased Swift’s former label, Big Machine Records, which means he also owns all her masters. Swift wrote a public letter expressing disgust over the deal, and by the looks of it she’s still very much displeased.
Swift also performed her lead Lover single, “ME!,” along with “Blank Space,” an acoustic version of “Welcome to New York” and the first-ever live performance of “You Need To Calm Down.”
Perhaps we’re reading too much into Swift’s “Shake It Off” lyrics. You be the judge:
