Pop emergency!

This is not a drill! Taylor Swift is rumored to have another album on the way despite releasing Lover just a few months ago.

According to Hits Daily Double, Taylor might have a new record she’s readying before 2020, and they clarify that it is NOT the Cats soundtrack. The timing of the rumors, according to them, is because of the Country Music Awards, taking place on Wednesday, Nov. 13.

UPDATE: HDD now says that the forthcoming project will not be a “Live Greatest Hits” set that was widely rumored. There was buzz about a live album-plus-video package, but apparently it’s not a thing.

There’s also chatter Taylor and Post Malone have a collab on the way. Post liked this Tweet:

The timing of it all is very suspect considering Swift’s Lover Fest does not kick off until next summer. That’s plenty of time to release and promote new tunes then perform them on the road.

This also means “Afterglow,” “The Man” and “Cruel Summer” might not become singles, and that truly is a crime. However, if that’s because more new tunes are on the way, then so be it!

Are YOU here for another new album? Let us know what you think in the comments!

  1. Makes sense seeing as thou the better songs disappeared quickly then normal from the charts. There isn’t any other single worthy songs that could do better. The songs u pointed out are just personel taste ones, they would flop hard in the hot 100
