’24K Magic’ in the air!

24K Magic in the air!

Bruno Mars is one of the most talented musicians of our generation, and his display of artistry is evident on his newly-released studio album 24K Magic. The nine-track LP includes two previously-released singles, “24K Magic” and “Versace on the Floor” (he also performed “Chunky” on Saturday Night Live), and though it feels like there’s only a handful of songs on the new record, each one is jam-packed with Mars’ braggadocios attitude and unlimited energy.

Following the insurmountable success from his Mark Ronson collabo “Uptown Funk,” Mars felt the pressure to outdo himself. “Coming off the biggest song of my career, it was super-daunting to come in [the studio],” he told Rolling Stone. “I don’t know if people are going to love this ****… I don’t know if radio is going to play it. But what I don’t want to have happen is I put it out and say, ‘Damn it, if I’d just done this and this, maybe it would have had a shot.'”

People will love this ****, especially songs like “Finesse” and “Perm” where Mars sounds like he’s having the time of his life.

“It’s my birthday! (no it’s not). But I still look good though!”

The album doesn’t have any features (minus a voicemail from Halle Berry on “Calling All My Lovelies”), but sees contributions from Babyface, T-Pain, Emile Haynie, and James Fauntleroy.

24K Magic may have less than 10 songs, but one thing’s for sure… he’ll leave you wanting more.
