It’s the inevitable.

An onstage reunion between Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake seems inevitable.

The Internet lit up Sunday evening following the news that JT will headline the 2018 Super Bowl Halftime Show. It actually sparked some backlash among fans of the Unbreakable singer, so much so that the hashtag #JusticeForJanet began trending on Twitter. It feels like the world wants to see them both on stage together again, but there’s only one person that can give the final say: Timberlake.

According to a source (it’s always a source) connected to Janet, “the door is wide open.” They tell ET: “If Justin or his team did reach out, Janet would perform with him again in a minute.” Jackson frequently uses ET as a media mouthpiece, so feel free to believe the reporting.

Will lightning strike twice? And by lightning… I mean Nipplegate. “That won’t happen this time,” Timberlake said during an interview on NBC Sunday Night Football. BUT, that doesn’t mean they can’t appear together. The NFL denied reports that Jackson has been banned from performing. “There’s no ban,” they said. “We are not going to comment on any speculation regarding potential guests. There may be no guests. Along with Pepsi, we’re excited to have Justin Timberlake.”

Justin, make the call.
