SnapChat Is Over Party: Rihanna Slams App For Ad That Made Light Of Her Domestic Assault Tragedy With Chris Brown

Rihanna drags SnapChat for their disturbing ad.

Over the weekend, an ad on SnapChat with the headline “Would You Rather!” encouraged users to play a game that asked them to either “Slap Rihanna” or “Punch Chris Brown,” a disturbing reference to the 2009 assault.

SnapChat has since removed the ad and issued a response to Mashable. “The ad was reviewed and approved in error, as it violates our advertising guidelines. We immediately removed the ad last weekend, once we became aware. We are sorry that this happened.”

Apology or not, Rihanna is disgusted. She slammed SnapChat for the ad and posted it on her Instagram Story (where her 61 million followers can read it).

“Now SNAPCHAT I know you already know you ain’t my fav app out there!” She wrote. “You spent money to animate something that would bring intentional shame to [domestic violence] victims and made a joke of it!!!”

She added, “Shame on you. Throw the whole app-oligy away.”

The news comes on the heels of SnapChat’s poorly-designed new update and Kylie Jenner’s damning Tweet. They’re f—ed.

Typical DV victim behaviour, sadly :C

It was weird in her case, because she was so succesful, and could scape Chris with ease, but i guess she maybe felt “she was ruining his life” even if that was not the case at all, Chris deserved all he got and more, he got away waaaay too easy.
