Producer Sean Garrett, who produced “SMS (Bangerz)” on Miley Cyrus’ new album and “Toy Soldier” off “Blackout,” tells MTV News he’s dying to get it on Britney’s new album.
“I definitely got my eyes set on it. will.i.am, wow I mean, I’m a big fan of will.i.am as well. But this first single, man, that ‘Work *****’ is crazy. will, you got to let me in on this, G,” Garrett said.
“I just got a call from will’s camp, so it looks good. You know what I’m saying? I just got to turn up, turn up one of them magical things.”
Garrett also produced on Britney’s “Circus” album, though his songs didn’t make the cut.
He continued, “I mean she just completely shut it down with this first single. I think she just took the world by storm with this first single, see. I’m not one of those producers or songwriters who hate. When it’s right man, it’s right and I ain’t even trying. I ain’t messing with the cake.”
“I got to go in my bag and pull out one of those monster records, which is gonna happen,” he said, adding, “When it’s right at that point, I’m just like, ‘Yo, respect. Let me get in and do my thing, so I can get in this car.’ And that’s the thing about being successful, you have to know when to hold ’em and when to fold ’em. You can’t just always think it’s about you. It’s about Britney right now. It’s about will.i.am.”
Hopefully Will listens – Sean Garrett is fire! Work it out, work it out, work it out.
