Sam Smith releases a new song/video.
It’s been two years since Sam’s last album, 2017’s The Thrill Of It All, but the singer has kept his memory alive in music this year with the slow-burning single alongside Normani, “Dancing With A Stranger.” Smith followed things up with a slinky new tune titled “How Do You Sleep?”
The song features a twinkly beat that transforms into something hard-hitting (complete with a dance break!).
“How do you sleep when you lie to me? All that fear and all that pressure / I’m hoping that my love will keep you up tonight,” he sings before a warbly voice backs the stuttering production.
There’s also a flamboyant, Grant Singer-directed video to soundtrack Sam’s precociousness. It features Smith dancing (the hip swings I-) alongside shirtless male backup dancers.
