EARLIER // MAY 4:
There’s a lot of buzz surrounding Shakira’s forthcoming eleventh studio album.
According to chatter on the Internet (always reliable), the Colombian pop star’s new record drops May 26, and a pre-order will be made available on May 12. The latest bout of rumors suggests Shakira will announce the album title and reveal the cover this coming Friday (Cinco de Mayo, May 5). The name floating around is El Dorado. The image above somehow became attached to the rumor, but it is not the cover.
There are song titles making the rounds as well. One is “Everything I Want” and features Gwen Stefani, the other is titled “Perro Fiel” featuring Nicky Jam. It’s also thought to contain 15 tracks total.
Late last year, Shakira kicked off the era with her Maluma-assisted track “Chantaje,” and another with Prince Royce, then hit the studio to finish up. That includes recording a song titled “When A Woman” and her latest release: “Me Enamoré.”
Take this with a grain of salt because nothing mentioned above is confirmed yet, but the thought of Shakira featuring Gwen on a song is too exciting not to share.
While we wait, stream Shakria’s new tune and take a peek at a still from the music video. Stay tuned…
