FemaleFirst.co.uk: Christina Aguilera reportedly ditched a track for her new album – after she found out it was written by Britney Spears.
The pop babe was planning to record the song – but axed the track when she was told it had been penned by her chart enemy under her assumed name, Aurora Lynne.
A source is quoted by Britain’s Daily Star newspaper as saying : “Christina wasn’t happy to discover it had been penned by her arch rival”.
Christina, 24 and pregnant Britney, who have known each other since they presented children’s TV show, The Disney Club together more than ten years ago, have enjoyed a long rivalry since they both launched pop careers in the late 90s.
Earlier this year Christina proved the rift had not healed after she refused to invite 23-year-old Britney to her forthcoming wedding.
The ‘Dirrty’ singer, who is planning a romantic winter wedding, reportedly delivered the ultimate snub to her pop rival by leaving her off the guest list.
