Rihanna Makes Demands On A Two-Timing Lover On Leaked ‘Talk That Talk’ Track “Answer”

A never-before-heard track titled “Answer,” reportedly from Rihanna’s Talk That Talk era, has presented itself.

A never-before-heard track titled “Answer,” reportedly from Rihanna’s Talk That Talk era, has presented itself.

It appears music traders unearthed a “new” 2011 track from Rihanna today (April 4). It’s title “Answer,” a warm mid-tempo that finds the Barbados beauty singing about a cheating lover. The catch? She’s the other woman. Hey, all is fair in love and war.

The Navy believes it ‘s from the Talk That Talk recording sessions because it was, at some point, getting considered to make the album. It’s listed as #7 in the photo below taken during that time.

“Answer” begins with a sigh. “You have my hands to hold / So how come you won’t hold me? / Your words are so damn cold / The winter can’t affect me,” Rih croons over a piano-driven melody and a crisp beat.

Elsewhere, “How can you lie to her while you lay with me? Hey, if you don’t have an answer just don’t say. If you don’t have an answer, you don’t have to answer.”

Heartbreaking, really.

Rihanna is vulnerable on “Answer,” and that’s refreshing considering some of her most-recent emotionless club bangers. Unfortunately, I can’t point you in the right direction for where you can listen to “Answer” (due to copyright), but rest assured it’s out there and well-worth a search.
