Rihanna might get to work work work at Coachella because Kanye West isn’t.
Kanye West is no longer willing to perform at Coachella because he’s not allowed to swap out the stage.
“These 40×60 stages are so archaic. It’s the same type of stage on which Shakespeare’s works were performed hundreds of years ago,” a source shadily tells TMZ.
To be fair, at Kanye’s Saint Pablo Tour, Ye’s stage moved over the crowd so it makes sense why he’d want something innovative. It’s like driving a Mercedes for a year then given a Camry for the weekend. Not the tea.
Fortunately, Rihanna might save the day. TMZ threw her name in the hat as someone who is reportedly in negotiations to replace Kanye.
This could very well mean Rih’s new music is very near.
The singer has been hard at work on her ninth studio album for several years. She’s rumored to be releasing two albums – one radio friendly and the other experimental. The singer also confirmed her new music would drop in 2019, and here we are.
Anyone performing after Beychella is very brave, but if there’s anyone that can rock Indio, CA, it’s Rihanna.
