Queen. Britney Spears Paints ******* To Mariah Carey Music

The Elusive Chanteuse greatly inspires Miss Britney Spears.

It’s rare for Britney Spears to give an interview, and even more rare to hear her talk openly without prep or pre-selected questions, so when the “Pretty Girls” singer told 2day FM she recently enjoyed Mariah Carey’s “Infinity” album while painting sans her top in her art room, we couldn’t help but smile/laugh/cry.

“I was painting in my room, I have an art room, I just paint on the walls and do all this kinda crazy stuff, and I bought her greatest hits – her new “Infinity” record yesterday, and I was just in there with my top off just like painting and doing all this artsy fartsy stuff.”

She adds her art room is her place.

We experienced many emotions listening to this one-minute clip, and we’d like to share this artsy fartsy moment with all of you:

Britney also gabbed about her “Pretty Girls” co-star, dishing she’s happy for the Australian rapper’s recent engagement to Nick Young.

“I have to text her and say congratulations,” she said, adding Young is “an amazing guy. I’m very, very happy for both of them.”

But did Iggy teach Brit Brit how to rap? “No, she didn’t, actually. I think that’s her thing,” she joked, then was asked if she already knows how to rap… “Of course!”

“Oh, my goodness! There are so many extraordinary, spectacular women out there doing so well,” Britney says when asked if she’d love to work with Katy Perry, “but yeah, she’s definitely one of them. I actually met her at the Smurfs premiere. I think she was the voice of one of the Smurfs,” she said. The radio hosts confirmed she did indeed have a role. “Yeah! She was Smurfette. She’s a good girl. She has a good heart. I’ve spoken with her briefly but we’ve never really gotten the chance to work with each other…She’s someone I would love to work with.”
