Pussycat Dolls: We Love Britney

July 27, 2008 By Jordan Miller

Back in June, Britney filmed a short cameo for the Pussycat Dolls’ first single “When I Grow Up,” and the Dolls are just now speaking out. Hey, it’s a slow news weekend, what’dya expect! Fortunately, the footage did not make the final cut. Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton says sometimes things just get cut: “It’s not a secret,” she told Access Hollywood. “There are a lot of things that you do that don’t necessarily make the video and that didn’t, for whatever reason.” In other words Britney realized “What the ****, I’m the biggest star in the world and I’m going to be in a friggin Pussycat Dolls Video? Larry, get me off that ****.” Ok, she probably wouldn’t curse as much, but the realization part I bet is true.

Lead singer Nicole Scherzinger stated the obvious when asked about the cameo saying “She came out, she did a cameo.” It’s OK Nicole, we don’t like you for your brains.

Britney, who never made contact with The Dolls the day she shot her cameo, was described as “hot and blond” by a source to Us Weekly: “In the scene, Britney is driving in a car. They all wave at each other as they are passing in traffic – that is it. It is genius and you will love it!” said the source. “Of course, Britney looks hot and blonde,” the insider added.

Although Britney’s footage was cut, there are no hard feelings between Brit and the girls. “We love her, we’re all huge fans of Britney, always have been,” Scherzinger said. “We totally support her. Not everything makes the final cut but we want to do something with her in the future.” And you can! Maybe, just maybe she’ll let you open up for her on tour. Upgrade from Skye Sweetnam that’s for sure!
