Katy kissed a girl and Prince didn’t care.

Prince’s estate published a new memoir titled The Beautiful Ones, featuring written passages from the former legend found at Paisley Park after the singer’s tragic death. Author Dan Piepenbring compiled letters Prince wrote to breathe life into the autobiography. One of them is particularly interesting in regards to the state of pop music.

Prince was not a big fan of music from Katy Perry or Ed Sheeran.

“We need to tell them that they keep trying to ram Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran down our throats and we don’t like it no matter how many times they play it,” Prince wrote.

Ouch, but also where are the lies. Kidding!

Prior to his death, Prince said there wasn’t any pop music out that “makes you feel scared, that makes you wonder what’s happening.”

  1. I mean, I still f*cks with Katy’s music despite her shading Britney. But what I really don’t understand is the world’s fascination for Ed Sheeran. I mean, yeah Shape Of You was amazing and it deserved all the success it had but like Divide and his music in general is sooo 😴.

  2. I’m sure he just mentioned them because Katy and Ed both have massive radio airplay, so he must’ve been absolutely tired of listening to them. So nothing serious.
