Meghan Trainor’s new song “No Excuses” drops this Thursday (March 1).

M-Train is giving fans a taste of her new tune ahead of hits official release later this week.

From what I can make of it, “No Excuses” sounds like a light and & airy, upbeat bop that’s reminiscent of something you’d find on 2016’s Thank You. “Mom” song, I see you.

What can we expect for Meghan’s new record to sound like? According to the singer, it’s a family affair.

“I’ve been in the studio every day with my family,” Trainor previous told ET. “My entire family sings on every song and Daryl sings on every song, and my father plays the piano and organs on one song.”

Daryl [Sabara] is Trainor’s fiancé.

That’s nice, but are they going to help create more anthems like “All About That Bass” and “Me Too?” That remains to be seen.

“It’s really special,” she says of the forthcoming record. “It’s obviously me being in love and happy, and reminding myself to choose happiness and love myself.”
