Meghan Trainor’s new album is a wrap, and it’s a family affair.

Meghan’s Thank You followup is on the way. The pop star, who’s currently on judge duty on FOX’s new singing competition, The Four, says she’s done making her third studio album, and revealed some very interesting, slightly unsettling news about it.

“I’ve been in the studio every day with my family,” Trainor told ET. “My entire family sings on every song and Daryl sings on every song, and my father plays the piano and organs on one song.”

Daryl [Sabara] is Trainor’s fiancé.

That’s nice, but are they going to help create more anthems like “All About That Bass” and “Me Too?” If we get a bunch of “Mom” songs, I’ll low-key die. But let’s stay positive. After all, it’s Meghan’s album, not the fans’.

“It’s really special,” she says of the forthcoming record. “It’s obviously me being in love and happy, and reminding myself to choose happiness and love myself.”

But will there be bops?

  1. I love Meghan, but this sounds like a mess. I couldn’t imagine doing that lmao, but she hasn’t let me down yet. I really loved the first album at the time, Thank You was a downgrade but still solid. I am curious if she is going back to doowop?
