Christina Aguilera Says She Tried To Kiss Pink, Not Punch Her
Christina Aguilera and Pink kissed and made up. Sorta.
Well, this post aged well didn’t it. In 2017, Pink said on Watch What Happens Live that Xtina swung at her in a club, but during her appearance on Andy Cohen’s show she recalls things a little differently.
Christina says she and Pink were partaking in a game of spin the bottle and tried to kiss her, but Pink put her hand over her mouth and wouldn’t have any of it. Legend X doesn’t recall ever trying to punch the M!ssundaztood singer.
“I seem to have a different memory of a night we had at a club where we played ‘Spin the Bottle.’ I have a love memory!” she explained. “Look at her, look at me. I wouldn’t swing on her. She could beat my a– are you kidding me? She could really beat my a– then!”
X added; “I was excited about a kiss. I was like, ‘Oh, kissin’ all’s good!’ She put her hand up like this and I was like, ‘Oh, that’s what we’re doing? Alright.’ She don’t wanna get dirrty.”
The two are good now. They recorded a song together along with another artist (who remains unnamed), but it remains in the vault… for now.
Watch Christina’s explanation below:
EARLIER // OCTOBER 20, 2017:
Pink spilled some tea on her past feud with Christina Aguilera.
Let’s get this out of the way: yes, Pink and Christina had beef with one another back in the day, but they have since squashed it and, if we’re to believe Pink’s hype, have a new song together(!!!). But the singer shared one of the reasons why they had such angst towards one another in her new appearance on Watch What Happens Live. Xtina tried to punch her.
“We were super young and super new at the whole thing, and I think I’m an alpha, and she’s an alpha,” Pink said. “I’m used to taking my altercations physical and she’s used to having them verbal. We’re just very different, we’re very different. And we were very young and new.”
She added: “You have to learn. Women have to learn how to support each other. It’s not taught to each other in the playground.” Here’s where it gets interesting. “Actually, she swung at me in a club. Hilarious… I was like, ‘what’s happening right now? What’s happening?’”
But they’re cool with each other now. “She’s so talented and deep down I’ve had bad days too,” the 38-year-old said. “She’s a really sweet person. We made up on The Voice. I mean, it was funny, I laughed. I hadn’t seen her in years and years and years. We became moms. We grew up. We hugged it out. It’s that simple. I feel so good about that.”
