P!nk has been working non-stop since she released Beautiful Trauma in 2017. The pop superstar’s Beautiful Trauma Tour became the second highest-grossing tour of all time by a female solo artist and the tenth highest-grossing tour of all time. Meanwhile, she released another new album, Hurts 2B Human, which topped the Billboard 200. The mom of two deserves a break, and she’s about to take one.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the Country Music Awards, P!nk says she’s taking a step back from music… for now.

“Yeah, we did two-and-a-half years of [music], and Willow is back in school now, and Jameson’s gonna start preschool soon, so it’s kind of the year of the family,” she said.

“Carey has a lot going on as well,” P!nk said of her husband. “He is super supportive. He follows me around the world, and now it’s his turn.”

There’s buzz that P!nk has plans to release a second album with You+Me, a band she and singer-songwriter Dallas Green formed in 2014. At the time, they released a record titled rose ave., which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.

Are YOU bummed that P!nk the pop star is taking a break from music for a while? Let us know what you think in the comments.

  1. I had such a great time seeing her on her last tour. I screamed my face off. But I definitely think she has the capacity to continue to find ways to create music that rips your heart off, she just needs more inspiration and time.

I CAN’T WAIT. To be honest, I expected her to take a break after this era. She generally steps away and comes back.

  2. Good. She needs to change things up. I’m tired of all the inspirational/political pop-rock music. 😪 But America loves adult contemporary pop-rock so she’s still gonna slay even with the same sound for 5 more albums. 😄

  3. I predict that during this “break” she will look into doing a Vegas residency. Pink would dominate Vegas. I see her doing that and releasing an album at the end of 2020.
