Britney’s in amazing shape, but homegirl loves her some Mickey D’s. Photographer Henry Hargreaves obtained riders (“a formal agreement with the venue and celebrity that quantifies the terms of performance”) from some of the biggest stars in the world, including Brit Brit.
According to them, Britney demands “fish and chips, McDonald’s cheeseburgers without the buns, 100 prunes and figs, and, maybe most crucially, a framed photo of Princess Diana.”
But get this, one reason why stars request odd items in their riders is not because they’re freak-a-leaks, rather it’s a way for the star’s management to test the venue and make sure they’re thoroughly reading the submitted contract.
Genius! But come on, Britney, you can do better than that. I hope your Las Vegas demands are bizarre, like, National Enquirer bizarre, a.k.a. three pigs feet, a brunette set of extensions, Fanta Fanta no Coke, the unwritten manuscript of the next Harry Potter book and a Virginia Tech shirt.
Other stars’ odd rider requests include:
Beyonce: Bey has freshly baked (and “juicy”) chicken, heavily seasoned with garlic, sea salt, pepper, and cayenne. The singer is contractually limited to consuming Pepsi products.
Lady Gaga: “Gaga likes to have a (small) plate of “non sweaty” cheese, chilled on ice, waiting for her after a show.”
Rihanna: “The pop star cautions her handlers to “be prepared” with hard-boiled eggs, turkey sausage, and turkey bacon at all times.”
