Ariana Grande opens up to Time magazine about a couple of new tracks on new album, Sweetener.
The pop star is one of several artists featured on Time’s special issue dedicated to stars who are the world’s “Next Generation Leaders.”
In her interview, Grande opens up about dealing with the devastation from the Manchester attack and her new music.
One of the songs is therapeutic for her. It’s titled “Get Well Soon.” Time says her vocals are “interwoven in dense layers of sound, creating an otherworldly effect.”
“It’s like I’m talking to all of my thoughts in my head,” Ari says of the track, “and they’re singing back to me.”
Time also got the scoop on a song titled “God Is A Woman.” They describe it as an “anthemic, sultry banger… in which Grande’s voice is layered so that it sounds like a choir, but really, it’s only her, multiplied.”
