Made In The A.M. becomes 2015’s fastest selling UK album.

One Direction are in celebration mode after finding out their latest album is a sales hit.

After a lengthy promo battle with Justin Bieber (that they never actually took part in), 1D are the clear winners on the European side of things.

Made In The A.M. has debuted at number one in the UK, Ireland and a handful of other countries in Europe. It also broke the record for fastest selling album, previously held by Oasis’s Noel Gallagher. Can’t wait to hear his reaction!

Made In The A.M.’s first-week chart sales of 93,189 make it the fastest selling album of 2015, beating the record previously held by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ Chasing Yesterday.

1D are currently promoting the album in the US, but hit up Twitter to share their excitement about their chart victory:

The band performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, rehearsed today for their AMA performance on Sunday and a pre-recorded interview with UK chat show host Jonathan Ross airs tonight.

Congrats 1D!
