Aaron Carter teases a sweet taste of his new album, Love, with a newly-recorded version of “I Want Candy.”

The perfect Valentine’s Day gift does exist. If you’re a lonely heart Millennial struggling with V-day today, don’t fret. Aaron Carter just saved the day.

AC shared an updated version of his early 2000s classic re-make, you know… the one he famously performed on Lizzie McGuire in that iconic metallic silver jacket. You just know Hilary Duff was thinking, OMG I’M DANCING WITH MY RIVAL’S EX HAHA THAT FLOP.

In “I Want Candy” 2.0, Aaron keeps the lyrics true to his original, but updated the beat to sound like something off Skrillex’s catalogue.

The revised version serves as one of the tracks off Aaron’s forthcoming album, Love, his first in 15 years and a followup to his 2017 EP of the same name.

“The album is called Love because that’s what the songs I wrote deal with, as well as all the emotions in between,” he told Radar Online.

“I’m taking each wonderful day one step at a time and enjoying life to the fullest.”

BreatheHeavy interviewed Aaron in 2016 about his new music. Read that here.
