The first taste off Normani’s forthcoming debut album is a slice of music magic.

The former Fifth Harmony star has a hit on her hands with “Motivation.” The infectious, mid-tempo finds the singer cooing and wooing a potential prospect.

“Ain’t gon keep waiting for it cause you know this thing here ain’t regular,” she sings over a beat cooked up by Ilya Salmandazdeh. Ariana Grande and Max Martin co-wrote it with Normani.

There’s also a video for the track. In it, Normani rocks a top with the year “1996” emblazoned on it (the year she was born), twerks in the rain and throws down on the streets. There’s also nods to Beyonce and Britney Spears’ debut videos (“Crazy In Love” & “Baby One More Time” respectively).

“Motivation” follows “Waves” with 6lack, “Love Lives” with Khalid, and “Dancing With a Stranger” featuring Sam Smith.
