Nicki Minaj becomes the first woman in history to rack up 100 appearances on the Billboard Hot 100.
I’m not usually impressed with achievements in numbers, but I’ll give props when props are due.
Nicki just scored her 100th Hot 100 hit with her feature on Tyga’s “Dip.” The track debuted at No. 83, which isn’t that impressive, but secured Nicki this incredible feat.
There’s only four acts to have crossed this line since the chart’s inception – The Glee Cast leads with 207 entries, followed by Drake (191), Lil Wayne (160) and Elvis Presley (108).
Curiously, Nicki has never topped the charts on any of her solo songs nor a feature. It’s almost like she went out of her way for that. 17 of her songs have landed in the Top 10 though. “Anaconda” was her highest-charting song at No. 2.
It’s worth mentioning Nicki did this in a span of less than 10 years when she entered the list as a feature on Lil Wayne’s “Knockout” in 2010.
I’m gonna need the Barbz to band together to get Nicki a No. 1 at some point. Justice for Queen.
