Another track is released from the singer’s upcoming album Piece By Piece.

Kelly just gave fans a new song from her soon-to-be-released seventh studio album, and it’s giving me major Ellie Goulding vibes. The track, entitled “Take You High,” reminds us how versatile Kelly can actually be in the studio, especially after Kelly tapped into country and Christmas roots in her two previous albums.

The song is another great pop song from the original American Idol winner. It’s a more mellow version of “Catch My Breath,” in my opinion, but it kind of works! Kelly sings on the chorus:

Let me open your heart wide / When your angels fall out of the sky / I’ll be the wings that make you fly / When you come down I’ll take you high

Then the hook just all-of-a-sudden blasts you in the face, resulting in an awesome eargasm. The Greg Kurstin-produced track is just one of the many songs to be released this week as part of the countdown to Piece By Piece.
