Happy New Music Friday!

Before I jump into the new tunes, I will conveniently drop the link to register for BreatheHeavy RX. We saw the most signups this week since kick-off, so to those of you who’ve joined THANK YOU, and if you’re still on the fence, give the free 7-day trial a spin! You won’t regret it.

For one reason or another, this NMF was particularly lit. Miley Cyrus released SHE IS COMING and Katy Perry dropped “Never Really Over.” Here’s a roundup of some of the other songs we want you to pay attention to.

Cardi B – “Press” (Song)

Cardi B released a new song about all the trash talk circulating on the Internet about her. On it, the rapper is seriously mad. Her lyrics are laced with anger as she fires shots at anyone in a 10-foot radius. “Press, press, press, press, press / Cardi don’t need more press / Kill ’em all, put them hoes to rest / Walk in, bulletproof vest.” I’m… scared…

Camila Cabello & Mark Ronson – “Find U Again” (Song)

Camila is working on her sophomore album, but carved out some time to hop on a new song by producer Mark Ronson titled “Find U Again.” The track features a bit of a magical ’80s vibe with a brooding beat – built around a Tame Impala tune. “I wrote [Cabello] a text and explained what the record was about,” Ronson explained. “The heartbreak and the crying-dancing-singing thing. But when she came in to work on it, I really did think we were going to all be sitting there slogging through lyrics. And she’s like, ‘I kind of came up with something last night.’ The whole **** was perfect.” Listen to the breakup anthem below:

Tove Lo – “Glad He’s Gone” (Song)

Tove Lo doesn’t know how to release a bad song. The Swedish singer released her first track from the Sunshine Kitty era. It’s titled “Glad He’s Gone,” a song about saying ~I told you so~ to a lonely heart after her relationship with her boyfriend goes sour – Tove Lo is there to save the day. “It’s the obligatory pep-talk you give your girlfriend when she’s going through a breakup,” Lo explains. “You’re reminding her she’s your partner-in-crime and showing unconditional support.” She adds: “It makes fun of the demands of being a good girlfriend and the dirty stuff you do just to make him confident. There’s a message to it. I’m telling a real story that I think girls need to hear… it’s about all the fun you can have after heartbreak.”

Tiësto & Jonas Blue featuring Rita Ora – “Ritual” (Song)

Rita Ora is the queen of the club. She joined forces with Tiësto & Jonas Blue for yet another banger. It’s titled “Ritual,” a pounding dance track that features an infectious chorus and larger-than-life production. “Always love you all through the night and be there when the sun is rising,” Rita sings. “Oh, you’ll always be my ritual.” A couple of vodka sodas will really elevate this.

The Chainsmokers & Bebe Rexha – “Call You Mine” (Video)

The Chainsmokers have another hit on their hands. Their new tune “Call You Mine,” starring Bebe Rexha, is a cut from the same cloth as their earlier works – before they got all emo on us. The earworm production soundtracks Bebe’s sugary vocal quite nicely. The video, played in reverse, is wild. In it, Bebe plays an obsessed stalker who tracks the duo down in a **********, poisons them and then attempts to escape. Sounds like a nice Friday night to me.
