Happy New Music Friday!

Every Friday, BreatheHeavy lassos the latest releases into this picture perfect post because I get it, you’re busy, and the last thing you want to do is spend time writing about each individual song and post it. Oh wait, that’s me. Let the roundup begin…

Ellie Goulding – “Do You Remember” (Song)

Ellie Christmas! The singer was away for quite awhile, but she’s making up for lost time. Goulding put forth a new song titled “Do You Remember,” off the soundtrack for the movie, Fighting With My Family, out now. Ellie also has a video for her Clean Bandit collaboration, “Mama,” in the works. PLUS her new album, titled Flux, drops on March 1st. Listen to Ellie’s stomping new tune below:

YUNGBLUD & Halsey featuring Travis Barker – “11 Minutes” (Video)

Halsey and her new boo dropped a time-bendy video for their new collab, “11 Minutes,” featuring Blink 182 drummer, Travis Barker. Why does every Halsey video end in tragedy?

Julia Michaels & James Bay – “Peer Pressure” (Song)

A new coffee shop anthem exists. James Bay and Julia Michaels team up for a brilliant new tune titled “Peer Pressure.” It’s instantly catchy. The pair’s voices melt together over sugary guitar strings as they sing about the perils of love.

John Mayer – “I Guess I Just Feel Like” (Song)

John Mayer and chill to the singer’s new song, “I Guess I Just Feel Like.” Mayer flexes his vocal capabilities on it, singing about every day anxiety. “If I go blind I’ll still find my way / I guess I just felt like giving up today,” he sings. We love a relatable king. The dreamy tune features a milky guitar melody and smooth beat.

Adam Lambert – “Feel Something” (Song)

I hope you’re feeling relaxed by now, because Adam Lambert’s new release, “Feel Something,” is another gooey, slow jam. On it, Lambert sings about wanting to let down his walls, but past heartbreak has left him cautious. “I built all these walls so no one could break in,” he sings. “Truth is I miss those nights when my heart could be naked.” He chants, “I just wanna feel something.” Same, Adam. Same.

MØ – “I’m So Far” (Song)

Not every new release out is a bummer. MØ swooped in with a swanky song for the upcoming animated Netflix series titled Moominvalley, an adaptation of author Tove Jansson’s Moomin books. It’s not the typical banger you’d expect from the Danish singer, but I appreciate that. If I hear one more electro-tinged monster I’m going to scream. “I’m So Far” is relaxed. It’s also major Kenny G vibes, something I think Kanye would appreciate, as do I.

Carly Rae Jepsen – “Now That I Found You” (Song Preview)

CRJ’s second single off her forthcoming album is on the way. It’s titled “Now That I Found You” (yep, like the Britney song cause… taste), and premieres in full on Feb. 27. Stuttering synths teeter over Carly’s signature sound. I’ll leave my judgement until I hear the entire tune, because based off this preview I’m not blown away. And… the… video…?…
