Happy New Music Friday!

Each Friday, BreatheHeavy puts together a list of newly-released songs/videos that we want you to check out. We get it, your lives are terribly busy (same, tbh), so this roundup should hopefully catch you up to speed!

P!nk – ‘Hurts 2B Human’ (Album)

It’s been an interesting era for P!nk thus far. Each song she’s released off the album is different from one another. The record doesn’t feel cohesive upon first listen, almost as if she threw a bunch of tracks against the wall and waited for one to stick. That’s not necessarily a bad thing – pop music is unpredictable in that audiences tend to gravitate towards songs that are unexpected, and the hits the singer planned on releasing fall flat. Prior to its official release, P!nk released “Walk Me Home,” “Can We Pretend” featuring Cash Cash, “Hustle” and the album title track. Listen below and pay your respects, because no matter what your opinion is on P!nk’s new tunes, no one can take away her pop queen status.

Zara Larsson featuring Marshmello – “Wow” (Song)

Zara flexes her versatility on new song “Wow,” with production crafted by Marshmello. The singer’s vocals get pounded by Marshmello’s beats, chopping the chorus up into tiny bits then scattering it onto the grass for us pop ducks to gobble up. “Wow” veers left compared to her first release, “Ruin My Life” – it follows music’s current electro-tinged trends – much like her other single, “Don’t You Worry Bout Me.” That’s due to Marshmello’s talents – he almost overshadows Zara on this, and that’s hard to do.

Kelly Clarkson – “Broken & Beautiful” (Video)

Kelly Clarkson has a lot on her plate right now. Her schedule is so jam packed, it appears she couldn’t break away to film a proper music video for her UglyDolls soundtrack song, “Broken & Beautiful.” The video, which features footage from the children’s film as well as a cute cameo from her daughter, follows Kelly getting ready in her dressing room before making her way out onto a stage to sing. The Marshmello-produced song itself is fantastic (Kelly can do no wrong), and it deserved better than this.

Becky G & Digital Farm Animals featuring Rvssian – “Next To You” (Video)

Becky G is one of the hardest working women in the game. Fight me. Almost every Friday we’ve got a new song or video from the pop star, and she’s always serving. Streaming culture demands content, content, content, and Becky never fails to deliver. Her latest tune alongside Digital Farm Animals, featuring Rvssian, is another electro-tinged banger that’ll soundtrack our summer perfectly. There’s also a gritty video to soundtrack the banger – in it, Becky finds herself dancing in an underground club DJed by DFA.

Louis Tomlinson – “Two Of Us” (Video)

Louis Tomlinson is still grieving the loss of his mother and 18-year-old sister, yet still managed to put out something that’ll warm fans’ hearts. In his inspiring new video for “Two Of Us,” Louis helps an 83-year-old man named Richard tick things off his bucket list. “This video feels particularly relevant and powerful to me,” Louis said. “Richard is a fearless man who in light of tragedy still pushes himself to live with as much laughter and happiness as possible.”

Shout-out to Diplo and Cam’s genre-bending new country EDM banger, “So Long.”
