Nah Nah Na Come On! Rihanna’s Next Record Will Reportedly Sound Like ‘Loud’

March 28, 2018 By Jordan Miller

There’s no way she’s turning back.

There’s no way she’s turning back.

Rihanna is hard at work on a followup to ANTi, and according to a new report from The Sun, she wants it to sound sonically similar to 2010’s Loud (“*******,” “What’s My Name” featuring Drake, “Love The Way You Lie”). This could either be very good, or very bad.

Take this with a grain of salt, but The Sun claims Riri “sat down with management and decided she needs to go back to what people love.” They also report she “loved Anti but knows it wasn’t anywhere as successful as her previous albums.

It’s worth mentioning ANTi debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in its opening week and spawned hit after hit on the Hot 100. It was also certified diamond by the RIAA just two days after its release (because Samsung purchased a million copies of the album in advanced and gave it away as a free download, but a win’s a win).

Loud is one of my favorite Rihanna albums, so I’m here for Rihanna returning to her roots, but I’m not buying this. Rih would never duplicate a sound. Either way, people are gonna talk whether you’re doing bad or good yeahhhhh.
