Christina Aguilera opens up to Ryan Seacrest about Liberation, her tour and Demi Lovato.

Xtina has a lot to look forward to this year. Her new album, Liberation, drops June 15, and the Liberation tour a few months after that. She’s also got several planned performances in the works, including one this Sunday at the Billboard Music Awards where she’ll perform “Fall In Line” with Demi Lovato. All of this was touched on in her refreshing new interview with Seacrest.

She sounds so relaxed, I live!

“It’s so exciting,” Xtina said of the new album and tour. “I’ve never toured being a mom before. It’s one thing and I’m breaking free of this kind of comfort zone and this stagnant place I’ve been in kind of because I was a little afraid to break the mold having my children and everything I wanted to be in one place for them. I’ve kind of been afraid of this idea of touring but I was like, ‘Jeez, I’m not doing anyone a service here. I’m doing a disservice by not doing what I was born to do on this earth.’”

Legend X also gushed over her new famous friend. “It kind of has been a mutual respect thing for a while,” X said of Demi. “I’ve noticed from afar what a support she’s been and I’ve appreciated the kind words and they seem genuine too. She seems like a genuine girl. She came from her own past and struggles and I have so much respect for someone that comes from a past and becomes strong and overcomes and thrives out of it. She’s just a bright, intelligent and sweet girl’s girl and great young woman,” she gushed. “When we first connected we were just like little silly girls … she’s like the dark-haired version of me … it was just like a lovefest.”
