Atmospheric bubblegum pop.

UPDATE // JULY 3, 2018:
Take this with a grain of salt, but here are supposed details regarding Marina and the Diamonds’ forthcoming music.
Gotta love stan Twitter.
An account by the name of @Ultrasubversive claims to be privy to what Marina’s new tunes sound like, and if we are to believe them this could be the singer’s best work yet!
I can’t confirm whether any of this is true or not, but the chatter has attracted major buzz.
Here’s what you need to know:
■ There are “dark lyrics on a happy rich pop production.”
■ Marina created a Spanish track with a Spanish rapper.
■ The mood of the songs are “Love, self-happiness, her struggling with loneliness and stuff like that.”
■ Several ballads.
■ Tracks include: “Superstar,” “Emotional Machine,” “There’s Nothing Wrong With You,” “You,” “Karma,” “Somebody Else’s Baby.”
Check out the receipts below:
It’s very bubblegum pop, but there are some ballad-y atmospheric stuff as well. You is the most basic/worst one of them I’d say, don’t worry.

Not very. Pretty pop but fresh. Vibes of ‘Blue’, ‘How To Be a Heartbreaker’ and the current pop landscape but with Marina quality

EARLIER // JANUARY 30, 2018:
Marina and the Diamonds says she’s nearly ready to enter the production stages of her forthcoming album.
The pop star has remained relatively sight unseen these last few years. She’s quietly worked on a followup to 2015’s FROOT for a number of years, but her next record is making progress towards completion.
Marina gave us a rare update:
“How are you all? It’s so sunny in London, I’m in such a good mood!!,” she wrote.
“And I’m working on a song I love so much. Haven’t even gone into production yet on what I’ve been writing for the past year but I’m almost ready.”
OK, so the headline was a bit click-baity, because it appears we’re still a ways away from hearing Marina’s new tunes. But hey, it’s something!
What do we know?
According to HamadaMania.com, Diamandis has tapped Sarah Hudson and Jason Evian for the project. This should pump you up:
Hudson’s songwriting credits include Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse,” Dua Lipa’s “Genesis,” Santigold’s “Banshee,” Charli XCX’s “Babygirl,” Nicki Minaj’s “Get on Your Knees,” Iggy Azalea’s “Black Widow,” Erika Jayne’s “XXPen$ive,” Idina Menzel’s “Queen of Swords,” and Justin Bieber’s “The Feeling.”
Meanwhile, Evigan is known for co-writing and producing Nick Jonas’ “Chains,” Fifth Harmony’s “Miss Movin’ On,” Demi Lovato’s “Heart Attack,” Madonna’s “Ghosttown,” Jason Derulo’s “Cheyenne,” Kehlani’s “Gangsta,” David Guetta’s “Dangerous,” Jojo’s “When Love Hurts,” and Kat Graham’s “Power.”
Not impressed? Marina is also reportedly collaborating with Big Taste (Jake Miller), Jesse Saint John (Britney Spears), Noah Breakfast (Kanye West), James Flannigan (Kodaline), Cass Lowe (Sam Smith) and Bonnie McKee (Katy Perry).
Let’s hope for a Lana Del Rey duet, yeah?
