Miley Cyrus And Mark Ronson Are Cruisin For A Bruisin In The Video For “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart”
Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus team up on new song, “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart.”
Mark Ronson is readying an album of “sad bangers,” the first taste of which is out now. It’s titled “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart,” featuring Miley Cyrus. On it, Miss lonely heart Miley sings over Mark’s gloomy, mid-tempo, knee-tappin’ production. If Bangerz and Younger Now had a love child, it’d be “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart.”
“This broken silence, my thunder crashing in the dark / Crashing in the dark,” Miley croons. Her smokey, raspy tone is on full display. “And this broken record, spinning in circles / In the bars, spinning ’round in the bars / This road can’t hurt you, it cuts you deep and leaves a scar / Things fall apart, but nothing breaks like a heart.”
There’s also a video for the track. Miley is on the run from police, but decides to take a backseat and let life run its course. It’s a metaphor for people chasing after celebrity culture and missing what’s really going on. She even dodges a figurative bullet. Man, reality sucks.
