She’s just being Miley.

Miley Cyrus was noticeably absent from the Grammys on Sunday. Her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, won two Grammys for his collaboration with Lil Nas X on “Old Town Road,” including Pop Duo/Group Performance and best Music Video. He attended the event with Noah Cyrus, but where was Miley?

According to Miley herself, she’s not exactly a frontrunner for awards shows these days thanks to past antics. She’s obviously joking, but also where are the lies?

“& we wonder why Iā€™m not invited to award shows anymore ….,” she captioned a video of her lighting up a blunt on stage as she accepted the award for best music video for “Wrecking Ball” during a live airing of the EMAs in 2013.

You only get so many controversial moments in one career, has Miley used hers all up?

And just for good measure, I’d like to remind you about these Tweets Miley and Katy Perry traded that night:

  1. I love Miley but she needs to pull back a little. Real growth is not “this is me. i’m real, I don’t front. I’m crazy. Deal with it. I’m the sh-t.” She should know when and where she could let it all hang loose. There is a time and place for crazy. You can’t be that all the time and get away with the “i’m just being me” card. We know the Grammy’s are very conservative. Wait, which reminds me, i know in the past ceremonies, it was a big deal whenever an artist swears on stage i remember Adele back then. But i noticed in this year’s ceremony, there was A LOT of cursing and swearing on stage. Also in the performances. And they didn’t even bleep them out. šŸ˜³

    1. About Miley, that’s why she released “Younger Now”, and to me that whole album and era was a success and a breath of fresh air. But then she totally backed up, almost as if she regretted that whole phase. So weird…

      1. I think because she really is not a “good girl”. Contrary to what others think (including Miley herself), I do believe that the Bangerz era was really authentic and it was the real Miley breaking out. It wasn’t a gimmick or a schtick. That was the real Miley. So to me, I understand if she goes back to “bad girl” after ‘Younger Now’. I tried to play nice all these years but the **** always finds a way to jump out. Sometimes you just have to let it go and stop fighting it. šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£
