Even though it’s Monday, it is now officially a great day thanks to Maroon 5 releasing their new single, “Maps!”
The song premiered on iHeartRadio on Monday morning at 3am, then shortly after was uploaded to their official Vevo account and made available on iTunes.
The track, written by Benny Blanco, Ryan Tedder and Adam Levine, serves as the first single off of the Grammy Award winning band’s upcoming album, “V,” out September 2.
“I was there for you /In your darkest times / I was there for you / In your darkest nights,” frontman Levine, 35, croons in the up-tempo track. “But I wonder where were you / When I was at my worst / Down on my knees / And you said you had my back / So I wonder where were you /All the roads you took came back to me / So I’m following the map that leads to you /The map that leads to you / Ain’t nothing I can do / The map that leads to you / Following, following, following to you / The map that leads to you / Ain’t nothing I can do /The map that leads to you / Following, following, following.”
Ch-ch-check it out:
Get ready for the radio to play the shit out of this. Which is a good thing. I think.
