Mariah Carey’s New Song “A No No” Is A Bop Bop (Samples Lil’ Kim)

Mariah Carey shares new Caution buzz track, “A No No.”

The elusive chanteuse is blessing us this holiday season with new tunes. Her latest release off Caution, out November 16, is the most up-beat, infectious song we’ve heard from the record yet.

On it, Mimi labels a toxic dude a no no.

Mariah Carey’s New Video For “With You” Is Expectedly Glamorous

“You shoulda known that it’s bigger than you / You’ll never know what I already knew,” Mariah’s croons over a stuttering beat.

If the beat sounds familiar, it’s cause Mimi sampled Lil’ Kim‘s “Crush On You (Remix)” with Lil’ Cease and The Notorious B.I.G. (which was originally borrowed from Jeff Lorber’s “The Rain”). “After everything I already been through / I can’t waste no time, pay no ‘tention to you.”

I’d also like to point out our lyricist fav sings the word “irregardless,” which is not a word… but a Mean Girls reference.

I loved her Skrillex-produced collab “The Distance,” but “A No No” might be my fav yet.
