Glastonbury is about to go full-on pop mode.
UPDATE // SEPTEMBER 11:
The rumors are picking up steam! Back in June, it was reported Madonna would headline Glastonbury 2019.
Not only has that yet to get debunked, but according to a new report from The Daily Star, Rihanna and Blondie are expected to perform as well.
“A who’s who of female talent has been approached to perform next summer including Madonna, Cardi B, Ellie Goulding, Mary J Blige, Dua Lipa, Patti Smith, Jessie Ware, Jorja Smith, plus female-fronted bands Blondie and Wolf Alice,” they write.
Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus were mentioned as well.
I’ll believe it when I see it, but Madonna and Rihanna are both working on new albums right now. If true, booking a flight stat to the UK stat.
EARLIER // JUNE 26:
The Queen of Pop hasn’t put out her new music yet, but there’s already rumblings of a world tour next year! Read more about that here.
One of those stops could be a performance at the Glastonbury festival.
The Sun claims the event’s organizers wants to create a more diverse event, and feel as if including the Rebel Heart singer would do just that.

The site claims Glastonbury creators, Michael Eavis and his daughter Emily, have their sights set on our fav.
“They have always been massive fans of Madonna and know she would put on an unforgettable show,” they write.
“It was really important that they had a diverse line-up for the 2019 festival after criticism of previous ones, And with this being a fallow year they want to secure a really big name to drive ticket sales. Thanks to all her huge hits, they are convinced that she would be a real crowd pleaser on the Pyramid Stage.”
This insider better not let us down, because now my hopes are up! The more eyes on Madonna, the better.
