A good thing.
Camila Cabello’s solo career gets off to a good start with “Bad Things.”
According to a press release from Epic Records, Camila’s collab with Machine Gun Kelly has been Platinum certified by RIAA, meaning it sold more than one million US units (each unit is equal to one paid download per 150 streams). Their new tune also reached #1 at pop radio.
Last week, the former Fifth Harmony member explained her decision to leave the band. Speaking with The Sun, Camila said she looks back with fond memories, but knows it was the right move for her.
“I spent five years dedicated to the group and all of us focusing on the group and it was an amazing journey,” she said. “I’m so proud of everything that we achieved together and every moment that we had together.”
She added: “But you know, just like any artist I felt like it was time to explore my own artistic vision so I just followed my heart and here I am. So those are my plans, I’m just writing now and I’m so excited about just, making music and making the visuals and creating that whole world.”
