Luis Fonsi taps Demi Lovato for a fiery Spanglish banger titled “Échame La Culpa.”
I’m over all of us (including myself) comparing every Spanish-English language pop song to “Despacito.” We get it, it started a trend, and it’s very hit or miss. Lovato’s in luck – she teamed up with the man who knows how to dominate the charts. And yeah, she might know a thing or two about that as well.
The two released a neon-lit visual for “Échame La Culpa.” In it, Lovato serves a handful of polished lewks while Fonsi is the center of attention in a ring of dancers. The pair eventually unite to cut up the floor and light up the night.
“No me conociste nunca de verdad/ Ya se fue la magia que te enamoró/ Y es que no quisiera estar en tu lugar/ Porque tu error solo fue conocerme,” Lovato sings, which translates to, “You never really knew me/ the magic that made us fall in love is already gone/ and I wouldn’t want to be in your place because your only mistake was meeting me.”
The new tune has the potential to become a global hit, and has a video to match. This one’s going to smash.
